MPA Singapore issued a marine circular concerning works taking place at Vopak Terminal. The circular is applicable to all mariners operating in the vicinity of Jong Fairway and will take effect from June 10 to September 16, 2019.
The Authority informs that the works will be conducted 24 hours daily, even in Sundays and Public Holidays.
They have deployed a Crane Barge, named TIONG WOON 37, that will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
In addition, the operations also include the replacement of the steel gangway structure. A crane barge will be used to carry out the works
Singapore’s Authority recommends that when in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
- Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
- Maintain a proper lookout;
- Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
- Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
- Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
