Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) announced that it has taken delivery of the ‘MILANO BRIDGE’, a 14,000-TEU Containership, at Hiroshima Shipyard of Imabari Shipbuilding on January 18, 2018.
The new ultra-large containership (ULCS) is same as the series delivered in 2015 and the first ship of the second generation. The ship will sail on the Asia-Mediterranean service (MED2) under THE-Alliance.
Milano Bridge will be 365.9 meters in length and 51.2 meters in width and will fly the flag of Panama.
K Line has 5 ULCSs scheduled for delivery this year, bringing the total to 10 units.
