SOLAS CH III Life-Saving Appliances
The Isle of Man shipping notice MSN 11 has been revised to no longer allow the use of bulldog clips for SOLAS Lifting Appliance wire terminations. This brings above Administration into line with most other Flag states and the rest of the Red Ensign Group.
Therefore, if such devices have been fitted onboard vessels, they should be replaced at the earliest opportunity and by next safety equipment survey.
