Intermarine, LLC has announced the addition of six Ecolift F900 vessels to the company’s ‘Fleet of the Future’. The 13,300 DWT vessels feature two cranes with a combined lifting capacity of up to 900 metric tons.
“The vessels are an efficient upgrade to our existing bridge-forward F-Class ships. They have the advantage of better stability, larger holds, improved cranes and reduced consumption,” said Frank Fischer, Managing Director of Tonnage Procurement.
“We partnered with CSSC Leasing to provide these vessels with long-term charters due to their financial stability and global reach.”
Delivery of the vessels from the Hudong and Wenchong shipyards in China, will begin in the summer of 2017 and continue throughout 2018. They will increase the number of vessels in the Intermarine fleet with more than 800 metric tons lifting capacity from six to 12.
With the addition of these vessels to the company’s Fleet of the Future, Intermarine is broadening its service offerings to efficiently support clients’ cargo and trade requirements. Intermarine has dedicated a great deal of time and resources to ensure that the company has secured the sufficient tonnage that matches clients’ evolving needs.
“The six Ecolift F900s complement the 15 Ecolift F500s already on order,” said Al Stanley, President and CEO. “Given the increased environmental regulations, we focused on developing a Fleet of the Future that meets the current and future standards, while providing a stable level of capacity for our clients – the Ecolift F900 meets those goals.”
Earlier this year Intermarine announced the ordering of 15 Ecolift F500’s to kick off the Fleet of the Future fleet renewal program. The Ecolift F500’s will begin delivery in the second quarter of 2016.
