Following increased violence and prison breakouts by armed gangs Haiti has declared a state of emergency, which has affected its port operations.
As the NorthStandard P&I Club informs, Correspondents E&M International Consulting, S.R.L advise tensions in Haiti continue to increase and are turning very violent by the ongoing civil unrest situation. In the city of Port-au-Prince, the terminals of CPS, APN and Martissant are impacted by the presence of armed gangs around the area, who frequently threaten with gunfire, robbery and committing other criminal activities.
