Primagaz announced that the Rem Leader became the first vessel to ever be bunkered with LNG at Port of Esbjerg, Denmark
Primagaz, a part of SHV Energy, was contacted by Unioil Supply to deliver the chilled gas and to bunker the Rem Leader, the company said in a statement.
LNG is becoming an increasingly important source of energy for the maritime industry. Towards 2020 are expected to be built 1,000 new ships with LNG engines, while more than 700 existing ships expected to be built on. After 2020, 30% of newly built ships sail on LNG. It is especially the growing environmental requirements of MARPOL, which set limits on SOx and NOx emissions from ships’ exhaust that helps to create this development in the industry.
The company said in a statement:
”It was an important moment for the port of Esbjerg, as Primagaz at the behest of Unioil-Supply Saturday bunkrede REM Leader, who thus became the first ship ever to receive LNG in the port of Esbjerg. ”
”We have since 2012 participated in a number of projects that promote the development of the infrastructure which will support the increased use of LNG in shipping. Therefore, it is of course satisfying to note that the first LNG bunkering at the port is now a reality “.
The LNG was brought by three trailers from the Dutch Gate terminal located in the Port of Rotterdam to Esbjerg.
In the outbreak, I was frank with you propecia before and after has changed my existence. It has become much more fun, and now I have to run. Just as it is improbable to sit.
