The General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone announced that it is closed to finalizing contracts with international companies to operate new quays at the East Port said port.
As Mohab Mamish, Chairman Vice Admiral of the Authority for Suez Canal commented on March 8, the negotiations between the authority and major international companies are continuing.
Mainly, the Authority discusses with interested companies into doing business at the port and the new docks emerging from the collaboration will begin operations by mid 2020.

As Mr Mamish reported, ‘Mercedes’ will be amongst the global companies that will provide logistics services at the harbor’s quays.
He continued stating that the authority has already signed a contract with ‘Ecoslops’, the French Company, to establish a plant for oil residues treatment.
Concluding, he revealed of the Suez Canal Container Terminal plans to expand the harbour in the future.
