Croatian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy decided to send the Environmental Impact Study to a public discussion. The study is about the change in LNG terminal on the Island of Krk by introducing floating phase of the terminal for receiving, storing and regasifying of LNG.
Evaluation Commission has held a 2nd session on October 10th 2017 in Zagreb about the study. EKONERG LLC which prepared the study, presented the amended Study and the answers on the questions and remarks from the 1st session to the members of the Committee and to the representatives of the public concerned.
After that session, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy announced the initiation of the public discussion for 30 days. Public discussion will be coordinated and carried through by the Department for Physical Planning and Construction and Environmental Protection of Primorsko-goranska county.
During the period of public discussion, the public will have the opportunity for insight of the complete study as well as the Summary in Rijeka and municipality Omišalj. During the public discussion, a public presentation will also be organized in Omišalj municipality where representatives of LNG Croatia LLC and EKONERG LLC will provide answers and discuss about questions asked by the public.
Additionally, the procedure that will enable the public to deliver opinions, suggestions or remarks in written form will be announced.
