The ship would be able to move during high tide at midnight
A container ship ran aground while leaving Chittagong Port adjoining No 1 Green Buoy near Karnaphuli estuary here yesterday afternoon.
The Antigua-flagged MV Courier arrived on October 10 to transfer some containers, said Chittagong Port Authority Secretary Syed Farhad Uddin Ahmad.
The ship is stuck at one side of the channel, so there is no disruption in vessel movement, he said, adding that the ship would be able to move during high tide at midnight.
