Following the uncertainty and fear around coronavirus, China’s National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) announced force majeure on prompt natural gas (LNG) deliveries from at least three suppliers.
Specifically, as Reuters reports, the force majeure notice concerns LNG purchase by CNOOC during the periods of February and March.
This decision follows China’s action, as the Chinese international trade promotion agency (CCPIT) aimed to offer force majeure certificates to companies struggling to cope with the impact of the coronavirus epidemic on their business with overseas partners.
