The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) will receive new navigation system hardware upgrades and in-service support. The upgrades will replace legacy systems, with some dating back to 2001.
The fleetwide upgrade includes 44 surface ship and five submarine systems. All of the work regarding the design and building will take place at OSI Maritime Systems’ Production facility.

According to the agreement, OSI will design, build, test, certify, and deliver MIL-SPEC navigation system hardware upgrades.
The agreement includes a five-year in-service support contract to ensure the systems are maintained and fully operational at all times.
Finally, the new agreement also complements an existing fleetwide support contract which was agreed in 2014 and covers ECPINS – OSI’s Warship ECDIS software.
