BW LNG shipping company, part of BW Group, conducted a naming ceremony for two of its new LNG carriers on September 7. The two vessels named BW Pavilion Aranda (H2489) and BW Magnolia (H2490), were constructed by South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.
According to BW LNG, both vessels have the capacity to transmit 174,000 cubic meters and are the third and fourth in a current series of seven newbuildings with MEGI propulsion and state-of-the-art reliquefaction systems.
According to the company, the BW Pavilion Aranda is planned for delivery next when, when it will head to a long-term charter to Singapore’s Pavilion Energy. The BW Magnolia, the second one, will join BW LNG in December 2019, when it will begin its journey to UK-based oil major BP.
