The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) will conduct a public seminar in Sterling, Virginia, on April 26, 2018. The seminar will regard the Proposed Sale Notice for a Wind Energy Area offshore Massachusetts.
On April 6, 2018, the US Department of the Interior announced the Proposed Sale Notice for a Wind Energy Area offshore Massachusetts totaling nearly 390,000 acres.
The Proposed Sale Notice provides detailed information about the available area for leasing, the proposed lease provisions and conditions, auction details, such as criteria for evaluating competing bids and award procedures, and lease execution.
For this reason BOEM will hold a public seminar in Sterling, Virgina on April 26, 2018. The seminar will describe the auction format, explain the auction rules and explain the auction process through meaningful examples. It will begin at approximately 9:00 AM (local time) and is expected to conclude around noon.
