Following two highly successful NYPE 2014 consultation seminars held in London and Stamford, BIMCO is pleased to release a copy of the draft contract for review and comment by all interested parties.
Much valuable feedback was received from the seminar arranged by BIMCO in London on 16 June and by ASBA in Stamford on 18 June. Both seminars overran their allotted time due to the sheer volume of discussion among participants who were clearly very engaged by this project.
Overall, the response to the updated NYPE has been extremely positive – recognising the significant contribution it will make to reducing the large number of additional clauses added to and amendments made to the currently used 1946 and 1993 editions.
A third seminar will take place in Singapore on 8 July arranged by the Singapore Maritime Foundation.
For those who were unable to attend the London or Stamford seminars and cannot attend the Singapore presentation on 8 July, a copy of the current draft of NYPE 2014 is available to download here.
The marked draft shows all additions, deletions and moved text compared to NYPE 1993 so that the amendments that have been applied to create the new addition can be seen clearly.
