Maria Polakis

Maria Polakis serves as Regulatory Compliance Manager at bp Trading & Shipping and represents bp at the Blue Sky Maritime Coalition (BSMC) and Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping. A naval architect and marine engineer by degree, Maria previously led the BSMC Chartering, Finance and Commercial workstream and contributes to the Coalition’s work in meeting its decarbonization objectives for 2050. In her previous roles, Maria was a principal engineer with ABS Global Sustainability and member of IACS Environmental Panel.
