Rules applies to steel vessels of 90 meters and over in length
American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) issued Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels.
Effective 1 January 2015, this edition of the Rules applies to steel vessels of 90 meters (295 feet) and over in length.
The requirements are applicable to those features that are permanent in nature and can be verified by plan review, calculation, physical survey or other appropriate means.
The primary changes from the 2014 edition of the Rules are identified in Table 3 of the Notices and General Information book.
