According to local reports, the Singapore-flagged containership Dali, involved in the Maryland bridge collapse earlier this year arrived in China for repairs.
Chinese reports state that the container vessel Dali, which was involved in the maritime accident that left six people dead in the United States on 26 March, arrived the Port of Fuzhou in Fujian province to undergo repairs.
To remind, the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, partially collapsed on Tuesday 26 March after being hit by Dali. The cargo ship had left Baltimore and was headed to Colombo, Sri Lanka when it hit the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
The accident led to the bridge’s catastrophic collapse, the death of six individuals, and significant damage to the state’s infrastructure and environment.
On September 24, 2024, Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown, alongside Governor Wes Moore, announced a lawsuit against the owners and managers of the cargo ship requesting compensation for various damages.
