ZIM Integrated Shipping Services on 19th April, held the naming ceremony of two 15,000 TEU LNG-powered containerships, under the agreement with Seaspan Corporation .
During the ceremony, Alice Tham, ZIM Singapore Country Manager, and Rachel Yang, ZIM Head of Sales, South China & Hong Kong, officially named the ZIM MOUNT EVEREST and ZIM MOUNT BLANC vessels.

For these vessels, ZIM also signed a ten-year marine LNG sales and purchase agreement with Shell, valued at more than one billion US Dollars.
To remind, on 26th March 2023, ZIM and Shell International Petroleum Company Limited, announced the successful bunkering of the ZIM SAMMY OFER container vessel with liquefied natural gas (LNG). This vessel was bunkered at Kingston Freeport Terminal Limited (KFTL).
According to the company, the Neo-Panamax vessels, equipped with the latest technology to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability, are 366-meters long with a 51-meter beam. Their prominent features include a twin-islands design and a unique vertical bow, tailor-made hull form design optimized for operation profile.
