Navis announced that Yilport Holding Inc. will present Navis’ Compass visual workflow management application to five terminals that use Navis N4 to bring enhanced visibility, communication and collaboration to the planning process across terminals.
Mainly, the Compass application digitalises the workflow and standardises the operation of terminals. This app aims to enhance the quality of the planning and tracking process to improve the terminal’s efficiency.
The application has a variety of options, ideal for each terminal and also uses Navis Smart technology to unlock vast amounts of data within the TOS for greater visibility and speed across all parts of an operation.
The Compass application was successfully trialled at Oslo terminal. During the pilot, Yilport used Compass to track the planning and execution process for vessels from the Global Logistics Centre (GLC) in Gebze, Turkey.

Compass aided in making relevant information available to all terminal actors in real time, which helped to reduce miscommunication across locations and will help prevent claims going forward.
During the trial month, Yilprot and Navis continued improving the application by collecting feedback, looking for additional priority features that could be added and how these features could work to best incorporate Compass into the terminal planning processes.
This joint partnership highlights that Compass has all the features needed for a terminal’s use and also helps Yilport accomplish its strategic targets.
