During its annual general meeting that was held in London on 15 October, INTERCARGO elected Yannis Xylas as its new Chairman.
Joining Xylas are Metaxia Psalti, Metaxia Psalti, Chief Operating Officer, Neda Maritime Agency Co Ltd, who has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of INTERCARGO, and Dimitris Monioudis, Managing Director at Rethymnis & Kulukundis Ltd, who has been elected as the Technical Committee Chairman. Additionally, Cesare D’Api, Group Technical Director, d’Amico Shipping Group, expressed his pride and gratitude upon being elected as the Technical Committee Vice Chairman of INTERCARGO, effective January 2025.

The newly elected leaders will face several pressing issues, with decarbonization being a primary focus. Their collective expertise will be essential as they work to implement practical solutions and strategies for the organization.
The transition also marks the conclusion of Dimitri Fafalios’s leadership, who has served for six years and significantly contributed to advancing INTERCARGO’s mission.
