With Westbound Transatlantic box volumes marking an increase of 5.4% in the first six months of 2019, its box volumes continue to rise even the growing headwinds.
According to Drewry, there was a slight growth by 0.5% in 3Q19 making the lowest rise since the last three months of 2016 for Transatlantic carryings.
Moreover, October returns seemed to be better while by the end of that month the year-to-date increase rate was still recording at 3.7%.

As for the US imports were up 4.4% in comparison to 2018, while goods for the Canadian and Mexican markets marked smaller gains of 1.5% and 2.8% respectively.
