Michelin Group has published a video on the development of the WISAMO Wing Sail Mobility, an inflated, foldable, and automated wing that can be installed onboard vessels.
This innovative solution aims to harness wind propulsion as a hybrid approach to effectively curb fuel consumption and subsequently reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including CO². The versatile wing can be seamlessly integrated into a wide range of vessels, both existing and newly constructed.

To remind, in February, DNV awarded an AiP (Approval in Principle) to Michelin for their WISAMO wing sail system. This had marked the first AiP to have been awarded to an inflatable wing sail design and it was installed for testing on the MN Pélican.
