Shipyard De Hoop published a video depicting the launch of Celebrity Cruises’ new expedition cruise vessel ‘Celebrity Flora’. The ship was launched in Lobith-Tolkamer, the Netherlands and is set to make its first sailing on May 26, 2019.
‘Celebrity Flora’ will go to Rotterdam in a few weeks, in order to undergo the final works, which include the construction on the upper deck. When this is completed, the vessel will be delivered in May 2019.

The cruise ship is specifically designed for the Galapagos Islands and will sail from Baltra all year-round, from May 26, 2019.
According to Celebrity Cruises, the ship will be able to offer a 15% reduction of fuel consumption, as well as less air emissions, as it will feature an advanced propulsion system, hull configuration and special diesel engines.
