As part of its safety animation video on how to prevent loss of life in enclosed spaces onboard, the International Group of P&I Clubs highlights the importance of safety equipment.
Earlier this month, the International Group produced a safety training animation that draws attention to the risk of entering such spaces without first taking preventive and protective measures.
However, in the video above, the clubs focuses on the best practice and safety equipment.
As explained, although your professional experience is valuable, best practice, company procedures and safety equipment are there to keep you safe. Don’t disregard best practice or bypass you company procedures, just because you’ve never had an incident before.
Don’t take your safety for granted no matter how experienced you are. Always comply with the correct safety protocols.
