MT Ellora today saved the lives of forty-seven individuals who found themselves in distress approximately seventy nautical miles off the coast of the picturesque Greek island of Rhodes.
As the company, Fractal Shipping, stated, the Greek Coast Guard alerted the ship at 1042 local time to a vessel that was in a difficult situation. Subsequently, the Master of the Ellora took the initiative to collaborate with Greek authorities in order to safely bring the rescued individuals ashore.
Commenting on this morning’s rescue, Fractal Shipping’s CEO Mathieu Philippe, praised the efforts of the Master and crew of the Ellora for “saving the lives of innocents”.
