The Co-Founder and Executive Director of North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA), Carleen Lyden-Kluss, announced that Wärtsilä has joined NAMEPA as a new member, in order to support and participate with other marine industry stakeholders in the association’s efforts to “Save Our Seas”.
“Wärtsilä is a global leader in providing innovative products and integrated solutions committed to safety, environmental sustainability and economic performance,” stated NAMEPA’s Carleen Lyden-Kluss. “Wärtsilä brings increased diversity to NAMEPA’s membership and continues to extend our ability to collaborate with stakeholders throughout the industry. Our members are committed to the stewardship and protection of our seas through corporate social responsibility and public education about the marine industry and protecting the marine environment.”
Ms. Lyden-Kluss remarked: “Over the past nine years NAMEPA has welcomed highly respected marine industry organizations to our membership. Our members share NAMEPA’s goals and efforts to create a stronger voice for marine environment protection through advocating, educating and activating communities on a global level”.
