Wallenius Wilhelmsen has secured a multi-year contract valued at over USD 1 billion with a leading global player in the premium car segment.
According to Wallenius Wilhelmsen, the contract spans three years initially, with a mutual two-year extension option, and covers shipping and logistics services, along with the use of biofuel. The agreement, which commenced between January and April 2024, features rates aligned with current market levels.
Pia Synnerman, Chief Customer Officer at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, emphasized the importance of environmental consciousness among customers and acknowledges the urgency of adopting sustainable practices in logistics.
We see manufacturers shifting priorities and increasingly looking for solutions which provide predictability in their supply chains. In this case, it means longer-term contracts encompassing both logistics and shipping services.
