Norwegian Avance Gas informed that its VLGC “Passat” was involved in a minor collision with the anchored vessel “New Confidence” in the area of Pyontaek, South Korea on 31 January.
The VLGC suffered some damages to its hull, but no crew or officers were reported as injured, on either ships. Furthermore, after the collision, no spill or pollution to sea or air is noted.
“The port authorities have been informed and the coast guard is on board. With their assistance, the Master and crew are taking all necessary measures to control the damage,” Avance Gas stated.
VLGC “Passat” is managed by Exmar Shipmanagement, while “New Confidence” by Expedo Shipping Corporation.
