The Coast Guard Marine Safety Center received its 25th application for Ballast Water Management System type approval for the HK-(E)C Ballast Water Management System manufactured by Miura Co., Ltd.
MSC will review the application for compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations in 46 CFR 162.060. Once it has been determined that the application meets the requirements, the MSC will issue a type approval certificate.
In April, the USCG received its 24th application for Ballast Water Management System type approval for the EcoBallast Ballast Water Management System manufactured by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.
On February, the USCG awarded the 23rd application type approval for Japanese Miura Co., Ltd for the HK-S(E) Ballast Water Management System.
In the meantime, in April, the USCG issued the 17th Coast Guard Ballast Water Management System type approval certificate to DESMI Ocean Guard A/S for its CompactClean BWMS.
USCG awarded the 16th type approval certificate to Envirocleanse LLC for its inTank ballast water treatment system (BWTS).
During December, the US Coast Guard Marine Safety Center issued the 15th Coast Guard Ballast Water Management System type approval certificate to De Nora Balpure for its BALPURE® ballast water treatment system (BWTS). It also awarded the 14th approval certificate to Panasia Co., Ltd., for its GloEn-Patrol BWMS. The same month, the company received the 22nd application for the Semb-Eco LUV U1 Ballast Water Management System manufactured by Semb-Eco Pte, Ltd.
On November, the US Coast Guard Marine Safety Center issued the 13th Coast Guard Ballast Water Management System type approval certificate to JFE Engineering Corporation, for its BallastAce BWMS.
Moreover, during November as well, the USCG received its 21st application for type approval for the Cathelco Evolution Ballast Water Management System manufactured by Cathelco Ltd. On the 1st of November, the USCG received its 20th application for type approval for the Aquarius UV Ballast Water Management System, manufactured by Wärtsilä Water Systems Ltd.
So far, DESMI Ocean Guard A/S, Envirocleanse, LLC (USA), De Nora (USA), Panasia (Republic of Korea), JFE Engineering Corporation (Japan), Headway Technology (People’s Republic of China), Alfa Naval (Sweden), Hyundai Heavy Industries(Korea), Wärtsilä Water Systems (England), BIO-UV Group (France), Samsung Heavy Industries Co (Republic of Korea), Techcross (Republic of Korea), Optimarin (Norway), Alfa Laval (Sweden), TeamTec Ocean Saver (Norway), Sunrui (China), Ecochlor (US) and Erma First (Greece) have won the USCG type approval.
