After the passage of the Hurricane Florence that hit North and South Carolina on Friday, the US Coast Guard Captain of the Port of North Carolina has now fully reopened the Port of Morehead City to all vessel traffic without any restrictions, as of Wednesday.
Hurricane Florence hit North and South Carolina on Friday, September 14, leaving at least 15 dead and thousands of homes damaged across these states, while over 900 people have been rescued from floodwaters.
The Coast Guard deployed 26 shallow-water response teams comprised of 116 people in support of search and rescue operations since the Hurricane began.
