The US Coast Guard informed that it medevaced a 45-year-old man off a tanker approximately 27 miles south of Sabine, Texas, on Tuesday, June 12. The crewmember was reportedly suffering from symptoms of a cardiac arrest.
US Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a request from the captain of the 800-foot tanker ‘Eagle Texas’ to medevac a crewmember who was reportedly suffering from symptoms of a cardiac arrest. Watchstanders informed the duty flight surgeon who recommended the medevac.

A US Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew arrived on scene and transported the crewmember to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas, to be treated.
The mariner was reported in stable condition.
