Considering the high risks that arise along with congestion in Lake of the Ozarks during summer months, continued education and law enforcement presence are very important elements to make sure that an enjoyable time on the water is also a safe one, Capt. Scott Stoermer, the captain of the port for US Coast Guard Sector Upper Mississippi River said.
Boating safety and legal chartering operations remain top Coast Guard priorities along our waterway system.
