UKHO has published the revised Maritime Security chart Q6114. This chart is one of a series of new Maritime Security Charts that contains security related information to mariners for the West Africa area including the Gulf of Guinea.
It also includes the details of reporting schemes and regional contacts, as well as general security advice and is to be used in conjunction with standard nautical charts and publications.
Currently, the Maritime Trade Information Sharing Centre – Gulf of Guinea (MTISC-GoG) has ceased to operate. It has been replaced by the Maritime Domain Awareness for Trade – Gulf of Guinea (MDAT-GoG).
Therefore, all vessels are encouraged to report to the MDAT-GoG using the existing reporting formats which are revised in the new edition of the Maritime Security Chart Q6114 (as per 30 Jun 2016).
