A strategic overview for responses to marine pollution
The UK MCA issuedthe final draft of the The National Contingency Plan – A Strategic Overview for Responses to Marine Pollution from Shipping and Offshore Installations.
Following comments received during the second consultation, the final draft of the ‘The National Contingency Plan’ is published for use by all UK emergency response organisations that have roles in counter pollution and incident recovery activities.
Where appropriate feedback from this consultation has been included in this updated version.
The immediate aim is to validate the new NCP during the National Pollution Response Exercise (Exercise DRAGON) due to take place in Liverpool Bay 10 – 11 Sep. Post exercise Lessons Learned will incorporated and published in the final NCP by mid-Autumn 2014.
