Pirates reportedly kidnapped two seafarers from an offshore supply vessel in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The pirates boarded the ship on 10 February. After taking crew personnel effects, the attackers left the vessel with the ship’s Honduran master and Ukrainian chief engineer, Ukraine’s RBC news reported.
The rest of the 18 crew, all Nigerians, were reported safe. The Nigerian-flagged vessel is owned by Nigeria’s Sea Trucks Group and operated by Walvis International.
The incident comes just days after three officers were taken from British general cargo ship Esther C off the coast of Nigeria.
The three, from Romania and Russia, are still thought to be in pirate captivity.
