SAFETY4SEA is pleased to announce that Tototheo Maritime has received the 2018 SMART4SEA Connectivity Award at the prestigious 2018 SMART4SEA Awards Ceremony which successfully concluded on January the 30th, the evening ahead of the SMART4SEA Conference, at Yacht Club of Greece in Athens.
Tototheo Maritime received the SMART4SEA Connectivity Award, sponsored by Propulsion Analytics, for offering innovative, efficient and functional solutions in the fields of satellite and radio communication, automation and navigation systems through a world-wide network of qualified partners and branches along the international shipping routes. Other short-listed nominees for this category were: Cobham, Onboard, Speedcast.
Presenting the award Mr. Panos Theodossopoulos, CEO Propulsion Analytics said: “Capacity and coverage of ship to shore communication has been gradually evolving. Nowadays, we are experiencing a step change in this field, with a tremendous amount of digital signals that can be produced from various components and machinery within the ship. I think it should be no surprise to anyone that Tototheo is the winner of the Smart4Sea connectivity award for 2018.”

SMART4SEA Conference & Awards within the scope of awarding industry’s outstanding practices for Excellence, Innovation and Technology. Other winners of the 2018 SMART4SEA Awards were: Chart Co for the E-Navigation Award, Kongsberg Maritime for the Energy Efficiency Award, Steamship Mutual for the Cyber Security Award, Be Cyber Aware At Sea for the Training Award, Rolls Royce Marine for the Technology Award Giampiero Soncini for the Personality Award and Frank Coles for the Leadership Award.
