Handling of dangerous cargo has returned to normal
Huatai Insurance Agency & Consultant Service Limited, Tianjin issued an updated circular regarding the dangerous cargo operation at Tianjin following the explosion on August 12th, 2015.
The tragic explosion at Tianjin port has taken 139 humn lives by 26 August and caused extensive property damages. Following the blast, the ship entry and departure activities and terminal operations returned to normal quite soon, but all dangerous cargo operation has been strictly suspended for safety concerns.
Recently a combined inspection group consisting of various government authorities has finished special safety inspection of 13 companies handling dangerous cargo operation at the port area and granted green light to them to resume operation.
According to local resource, currently the handling of dangerous cargo has mostly returned to normal now.
