An accident took place during vessel decommissioning operations in waters offshore Libya, which has led to the deaths of at least three Tunisian workers.
The incident happened on November 5, according to reports from Libya’s Mellitah Oil & Gas, during dismantling and hauling of the floating storage and offloading (FSO) vessel Sloug.
During the operation, one of the chains binding snapped, throwing the workers into the sea. According to official information, three workers lost their lives, and one is missing, while another one is injured.
An innvestigation into the accident ha snow started, in cooperation with authorities.
