The Nautical Institute has recently published the third issue of The Navigator, which looks at the subjectof voyage planning; why it is important, how it should be done- and someof the more unexpected events which can happen on passage.
Daniel Wood looks at voyage planning from the shore-side, while Andy Norris explores issues of data integrity and how to check that the information you are using is as accurate as it should be. Voyage planning is a huge – and a hugely important – subject, and The Nautical Institute hopes that this publication will inspire discussion and further reading onboard ship and ashore.
