Oceans Beyond Piracy (OBP) has launched this year’s report ”The State of Maritime Piracy 2015” which assesses the human and economic cost of maritime piracy by region, specifically in Western Indian Ocean , Gulf of Guinea and Southeast Asia.
The report reveals the notable trends, both the economic and human cost and the pirate activity in each region. It is broken into three sections to assess the security situation separately in the Western Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Guinea and the Southeast Asia. The report also includes a thorough analysis with data/ figures and infographics to illustrate the state of maritime piracy.
