TGE Marine has supervised the successful gas trials of three new gas carriers for which TGE Marine delivered the cargo handling systems including tanks.
The 30k-LNG-carrier “Hai Yang Shi You” is the world’s largest type C bilobe tank equipped carrier and has been handed over by Jiangnan Shipyard to the owner CNOOC. The gas trial has been conducted at a Chinese LNG terminal. The carrier shall operate at the Chinese coast line and deliver LNG to Hainan island.
The last one MT “Navigator Umbrio” of a series of five LEG-carriers of 21,000 m3 capacity delivered by Jiangnan Shipyard to Navigator Gas has been put into operation in Korea.
Last not least end of April the first 12,000 m3 LEG-carrier “Happy Albatros” has been delivered by STX to Ultragas Europe. The shipyard will deliver 6 ships in total to the Unigas pool members Ultragas, Sloman Neptun and Schulte group.
