Transport General Authority (TGA) of Saudi Arabia and Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration for enhancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects of marine sustainability.
According to Bureau Veritas, this partnership, established during the inaugural annual forum for ship owners and operators in the Kingdom in early May 2024, signified a commitment to implementing best practices in the maritime sector. By joining forces, the TGA and Bureau Veritas aime to pave the way for a greener future in Saudi Arabia’s maritime industry.
Through sharing expertise and resources, both parties endeavored to drive positive change and contribute to the overall advancement of marine sustainability. Furthermore, this collaboration aims to underscore the importance of addressing challenges and embracing initiatives that promote responsible practices within the sector.
