Focused on recent development and technological advances in spill response
ITOPF’s series of Technical Information Papers (TIPs), providing practical guidance on oil and chemical spill response in the marine environment, is now available in Korean.
The TIPs are based on the experience of ITOPF’s technical staff at 700 pollution incidents worldwide, including over 50 in South Korea. They also reflect recent developments and technological advances in spill response.
Dr Karen Purnell, ITOPF’s Managing Director, commented “We are delighted that, with the kind support of KCG, ITOPF’s technical expertise can now reach a far wider audience in a country that has experienced many spills, including the largest tanker spill in recent years, the HEBEI SPIRIT.”
The new translations can be freely downloaded from thepublications page of ITOPF’s website along with Chinese, Russian, French and English versions. Spanish TIPs are due later this year. Publications includes the following:
