The US Coast Guard terminated the voyage of the 20-foot pleasure craft ‘Like I Care’, with nine passengers-for-hire aboard Sunday in Baker’s Haulover Inlet after discovering multiple safety violations. With this regard, USCG warned that owners and operators of illegal charter vessels can face maximum civil penalties of $41,456 for illegal passenger-for-hire operations.

USCG ends yacht voyage due to unsafe operation

US Coast Guard and Seattle Fire Department personnel responded to and dewatered a vessel that was taking on water off Alki Beach, on Sunday August 26. USCG ends yacht voyage after multiple violations

The US Coast Guard terminated the voyage of the 65-foot pleasure yacht Zenith at Sea Isle Marina, as it discovered several safety issues and environmental concerns, which included the carriage of more paying passengers than they were certified to carry onboard the vessel. The boarding was conducted after the yacht allided with the Venetian Causeway Bridge earlier that day.
