In recognition of mutual interests in maritime education and research, RINA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Maritime University (WMU).

A delegation from the World Maritime University (WMU) was in the Philippines from 14 to 18 November in relation to the consultation and assessment elements of the Study to Address Safety and Energy Efficiency of Domestic Passenger Ships in the Philippines.

The latest virtual regional train-the-trainer course to address the issue of underreporting of marine casualty investigations is underway (11- 29 October), as IMO announced.

IMO has called on all shipping stakeholders to provide input to the Experience Building Phase (EBP) designed to see just how the BWM Convention is working. BIMCO informs that shipowners can now submit such data directly to the World Maritime University.
