Singapore’s Kumiai Navigation has returned to Kawasaki Heavy Industries to order a dual-fuel VLGC/ammonia gas carrier newbuilding against a charter from a Canadian energy infrastructure company.

Borealis and IINO Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. (IINO Lines), announced the long-term charter of a very large gas carrier (VLGC). This Ice Class IB vessel will be delivered in the first quarter of 2027.

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines announced that the LPG dual-fuel LPG/ammonia carrier (VLGC) Aquamarine Progress II, ordered by its group company, Aramo Shipping (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., was delivered on April 26 by Namura Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., according to the company's release.

Borealis and IINO Kaiun Kaisha, have signed a charter agreement for a dual-fuel liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vessel, Oceanus Aurora. The vessel was ordered from IINO Lines in 2021 and delivered to Borealis 14 May 2023.

The world's largest Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) was unveiled in late April in Shanghai before being delivered to Singaporean owner Petredec Global by Jiangnan Shipyard.
