GTT has obtained two new Approvals in Principle (AIP) from the classification societies ABS and Lloyd's Register for cargo transfer operations between Very Large Ethane Carriers (VLEC) equipped with the Mark III technology developed by GTT.

GTT announced that it has received, during the first quarter of 2024, a new order from HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) for the tank design of two LNG carriers (LNGC) and a Very Large Ethane Carrier (VLEC).

Seri Everest, the world's largest VLEC, departed the terminal in Texas sailing to China. Loaded with more than 911,000 barrels of ethane destined for Satellite’s Lianyungang ethane cracker in northeastern Jiangsu Province, China, the vessel represents the largest single shipment of ethane to date.
