Baleària’s new eco ferry starts operation

Spanish Baleària announced its new eco-efficient fast ferry ‘Eco Aqua’ has started operating on the Eivissa-Formentera route, after carrying out the docking tests in both ports, on 25 December. The vessel is the first in a series of four expected in 2018.

World’s first floating wind farm starts production

Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil announced that Hywind Scotland, world’s first floating wind farm, has started to deliver electricity to the Scottish grid. The 30MW wind farm will be operated by Statoil in partnership with Masdar.
