Two new landing barges are launching in order to assist the work of Australia’s new icebreaker RSV Nuyina. The barges will be based onbroad the RSV Nuyina, along with three tenders to transfer the personnel and a scientific research tender.
The ‘Power’ FPSO hull (Floating production storage and offloading) floated out from dock of the COSCO’s shipyards in Zhoushan, China in September, about 10 months after first steel cut. Normally, the hull completion was expected to be complete in 12 months.
Norwegian shipbuilder Meyer Werft announced the imminent launch of Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest cruise ship, expected in the morning hours of 17 August 2019. Once Norwegian Encore has left the dock, it will berth at the shipyard’s out-fitting pier to be fitted with its funnel cladding.

Shipyard De Hoop published a video depicting the launch of Celebrity Cruises’ new expedition cruise vessel ‘Celebrity Flora’. The ship was launched in Lobith-Tolkamer, the Netherlands and is set to make its first sailing on May 26, 2019. ‘Celebrity Flora’ will go to Rotterdam in a few weeks, in order to undergo the final works, which include the construction on the upper deck.
The RRS Sir David Attenborough, the new polar research ship for Britain, was launched into the River Mersey, on Saturday July 14. The ship is being built at Cammell Laird shipyard in Birkenhead, near Liverpool. Once the ship becomes fully operational in late 2019, it will be operated by British Antarctic Survey
