Wison Offshore & Marine announced that it completed delivery of the world’s first barge-based floating natural gas liquefaction and storage facility to Exmar. The contract included engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning services by Wison.

Philly Shipyard announced delivery of the American Liberty, the third of four next generation 50,000 dwt product tankers that it is building for American Petroleum Tankers, a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan. The vessel has fuel efficiency features and is compliant to latest regulatory requirements.

Philly Shipyard, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Philly Shipyard ASA, announced that it has entered into a Letter of Intent with a blue chip US shipping operating company for the construction and sale of up to four new, cost-efficient and environmentally friendly containerships, with planned deliveries in 2020 and 2021.

Keppel Offshore & Marine announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Shipyard, will soon deliver the world's first converted Floating Liquefaction Vessel owned by Golar Hilli Corporation, a subsidiary of Golar LNG. The vessel was named Hilli Episeyo at a ceremony in Keppel Shipyard on 2 July.

Philly Shipyard has initiated construction of up to four new, cost-effective and environmentally friendly containerships with deliveries in 2020 and 2021. It also plans to promote formation of a new entrant into the container ship trade between the U.S. mainland and Hawaii to operate these vessels. Presently, this trade route is serviced by only two carriers and is reliant in part on a group of near end-of-life steamships.

On June 7, General Dynamics NASSCO delivered the final ECO Class tanker "Palmetto State" to American Petroleum Tankers, as part of an eight-tanker program deal. The vessels are the most environmentally friendly tankers to enter the Jones Act trade, offering 33 percent increased fuel efficiency and a corresponding reduction in ship emissions.

Stena has signed a contract to coat the hulls of four newbuild RoPax ferries with paint that incorporates the bio-repellent antifouling ingredient Selektope®. According to the company, the organic, non-metal compound is the only one of its kind in marine antifouling application.

International compressor supplier, TMC Compressors, announced that signed a contract with Fincantieri, to supply an environmentally friendly compressed air system to the first of three cruise ships the Italian shipbuilder is building for Virgin Voyages.

Desgagnés has taken delivery of the M/T Damia Desgagnés, a new vessel recently completed in Turkey. The vessel is the first dual-fuel powered Canadian-flagged tanker and the first-ever asphalt carrier of this type, build according to an original concept developed by Desgagnés and ordered at the Besiktas shipyard located in Turkey.

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced that the world's largest containership, MOL Triumph, was delivered from Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., on March 27, 2017. With a capacity of 20,170 TEU, the vessel is the first 20,000 TEU-class containership deployed in THE Alliance's Asia to Europe trade, via the FE2 service.
